Define what portable means in your setting

A pocket scanner, a hand-carried system and a compact cart solve different mobility problems. First state where the system will be used, how it will move, which examinations qualified staff need to perform and which probes and software are required. There is no single best system for every service.

A documented example: GE HealthCare Venue Go

GE describes Venue Go as a system that can move between cart, table-top and boom configurations. Its product page describes access to up to three active probes. These are manufacturer-stated features, not AZNO test results. Confirm the generation, regional configuration and included options in the written quote.

Use the same questions for every shortlisted system

Ask each supplier for a configuration-level response. A product-family name does not establish which features, probes or services you are buying.

  • Exact system generation and software version.
  • Included probes, licensed functions and optional accessories.
  • Battery specification and practical mobility for your workflow.
  • Export and integration requirements, with any licensing costs.
  • Cleaning instructions, local service coverage and written warranty.
  • Actual-item condition and supporting test records for used equipment.

Compare the complete offer

Arrange a demonstration with qualified users where possible. Compare the documented configuration, total price, delivery, installation and support. Do not translate a manufacturer marketing claim into an independent performance score. This is a procurement guide, not a hands-on ranking or a substitute for clinical evaluation.
