What changed on October 12?

Siemens Healthineers announced on October 12, 2026 that it was ending sales of its Acuson Sequoia, Redwood, Juniper and Maple general-imaging ultrasound systems, effective that day. Its ultrasound business is refocusing on procedural imaging and image-guided therapy.

The company says it will continue selling Acuson Origin, P500 (ICE) and Freestyle for procedural customers. This is a change to the sales portfolio, not an announcement that all Siemens ultrasound production or service has stopped.

Existing customers: support continues

Siemens says support for its installed base will continue, including maintenance, software updates and transducer availability, while honoring contractual and regulatory obligations. Owners should confirm the terms and timelines applicable to their own system; the announcement is not a model-by-model service agreement.

AZNO perspective: plan around the exact probe, not the headline

A sales announcement alone is not evidence that a working probe needs replacement. Start with the scanner model, software version, full transducer identifier and connector variant. Keep the existing service agreement and the responsible service provider's advice beside any new quotation.

If there is a fault, ask a qualified provider for the assessment and proposed repair scope. Compare a component replacement, a repaired unit and a complete replacement as different options. Record what is supplied, what remains in use, available test documentation, warranty and return terms.

For a replacement-part enquiry, identify the assembly and revision required. A cable, an array or an assembly kit is not a complete probe. Ask who manufactured the supplied item and request written confirmation of fit; a Siemens reference-model name does not by itself establish OEM origin or approval.

Explore Siemens-related probe offers

AZNO's Siemens-filtered buying page is a starting point for reviewing published seller offers. Use its offer-type controls to distinguish complete probes from parts, kits and repair services, and check further catalog pages where relevant. Confirm current availability, exact compatibility and delivery terms with the seller.
