Development samples announced on October 22
ABLIC announced on October 22, 2026, that it had begun supplying samples of viewphii-Gen3, its third-generation handheld ultrasound development solution. This is a component-and-development-platform announcement; it does not establish clearance or clinical availability of a finished scanner.
The company lists its S-UM55A3E digital pulser, support for up to ±100 V, a maximum of 256 transmit channels and a maximum 64-channel transmit/receive aperture. The larger channel figure should not be read as 256 simultaneous receive channels. Its typical 1.2 W figure applies specifically to linear-probe B-mode operation.
The platform context
ABLIC describes the viewphii business model around core technology and reference equipment or solutions. Those development offerings are distinct from an independently marketed, fully configured clinical probe.

What to clarify in a probe proposal
For a buyer, the next useful document is an itemized proposal. Ask whether the offer covers chips, an evaluation board, a reference probe or a finished product. Have the supplier identify the transducer, cable, connector, supported host and included software rather than treating a platform name as proof that every part is supplied.
For a development team, request the exact revision, supported operating conditions and evaluation results for the intended configuration. A component headline cannot answer questions about whole-device battery life, thermal behavior, image quality or serviceability. Compare complete configurations under stated conditions before drawing a buying conclusion.
What this announcement does not establish
AZNO has not tested viewphii-Gen3 and is not announcing inventory, pricing, a partnership or repair support. The October 22 release gives a date but no publication time or timezone; this October 25 report does not present it as a same-day launch. Manufacturer performance claims remain company claims, rather than independent clinical evidence.
